On the evening of Saturday 5 July 1919, 21-year-old Bella Wright went for a cycle ride and would shortly be found shot dead a short distance from her home. A man on a green bicycle became the focus of attention and a year later he was arrested. The case became known as the “Green Bicycle Mystery”
