The pools and waterfalls in the park are a filtration system for Cropson Reservoir
The River Lin that runs through Bradgate park features pools and waterfalls. Have you ever wondered why there is man made waterfalls in a natural country park? The falls and pools was an intentional design when Cropston Reservoir was built. These “filters” are used to remove any silt from the river before entering the reservoir.
